I have run into a bunch of issues with these HP Probooks and the ATI Radeon GPU and Google Chrome. All sorts of streaming issues of videos from Vimeo, YouTube, ABC, CBS, NBC, you get the idea. Even some crazy bugs with AutoCad and DisplayLink setups were a result of Chrome and the ATI Radeon GPU.
The solution is easy. Kill the Chrome GPU Hardware Acceleration!
- Open Chrome
- Type “chrome://flags” in the address bar
- Hit Enter and then scroll down till you find “GPU compositing on all pages”
- Select the option “Default” and change it to “Disabled”:
- Finally, click the “Relaunch now” button to confirm settings.
